I was being sarcastic.  I do not approve of violence.  having said so, others 
do approve and practice such.  I grew up in a time where making fun of
another kid's haircut or appearance could result in a punch in the face. 
One of my teachers in high school told me a story of when he was young, his fa
mily lived near a large Amish population.  He and some friends were outside a
store, and one of his friends made fun of an Amish boy's haircut.  The Amish
boy looked around, and upon seeing no other Amish around, he knocked his
buddy out in one punch.  Just because their faith abhor's violence, not
everyone is completely vested in that belief. 

Some people live polite lives out of fear of impolite reprisal
