I like this analysis. 

I actually see a lot of Robert Rodriguez expressed in this season, that
could be why I dislike it as well. 

I guess I didn't want to see a new, softer Boba. I wanted to see the Most
Feared Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy come back kick some ass. Head canon
will always be the best canon!
