I think the only one I d be confident recommending Ar> is Battle for Wesnoth. I did try Rise of Nations, it is fun, but I think RTS games are too 'pointy clicky' for me and lack larger scale strategies. I might look at Battle of Wesnoth, seen it come up in my Linux repository over and over again. ....
