Multiplayer functionality would have been fantastic. I remember discussing how sorely this game needed multiplayer like Warcraft back in the mid 90's. I also think dune 2 had more strategy to it than later real time strategy games. Just swarming the base with enemies wouldn't work, you had to use each units in a specific way to win. In later games, you could just flood the base and win by sheer numbers alone. ....
