dune was an impossible project and i'm surprised he got it to the theaters.
also 2:17 is super super long for a movie back then.  now it's the norm.

lynch will not talk about dune and he will not do a directors cut.
they really pissed him off good.

actors were signed to 3 movies. it really should have been 3 movies. it wouldnt have worked as 3, but with all the content they should have added, it NEEDED to be 3 movies.
