Liquor could be provided for free as part of an entertainment event.  One
speakeasy was called the "blind pig" because people would pay to see an
attraction known as the blind pig.  See the pig, get a drink.

There were loads of ways to game the system, which showed how the populace
was against prohibition, but still had to endure the law.
