I think it's only a minority of people who are thin skinned.  The difference is
that in the 70's people didn't listen to the crazies, now they do.  Companies
are bending towards a vocal minority because the mid-wits that staff them are
out of touch and don't realise that 10 flouro-haird nutcases on Twitter don't
represent the world at large.
