I have a friend in the U.K. who says they have a method where they can
detect what broadcast channels you watch with an antenna and -still- charge
you for the service! At least we're not like that here... yet.

The issue with locast was a legal issue that they lost very similar to
Aereo where the 'media giants' sued for copywrite infringements. I'm going
to guess locast is going to somehow find a way to restructure and come back
from the story I read. It seems that in the summary judgement their business
model didn't meet that of a non-profit which makes it appear that's what they
needed to be viewed as in order not to infringe on the copywrites.
