If you are looking to run a BBS on it, my suggestion is run it in Vice Emulation. As nice as running a C64 BBS on real metal is, emulation you can build a ful blown fast BBS, I run my Image on a SCPU, CMD Ramlink/HD setup with a 38.4k Swiftlink. All emulation. I don't have to worry about my Commodore hardware going bad, or buying expensive 40 plus year old hardware for.
