On the commercial BBS side, I liked AABBS (Especially the 128 Version). I never did like the sequencial message bases (WWIV style). It made finding specific posts difficult. A BBS that I thought was interesting was ST/R bbs, which from the UI operated much like Image/C-Net. It's main drawbacks were it not supporting 2400bps and the BASIC portion and P-Files (Yes it supported online games), were compiled based. There was also no documentation on how to write online games for it. A weird fact about ST/R BBS, is if you decompiled the basic, the resulting BASIC was too big to fit in the C64's memeory. You could open it in 128, but I never could find a solution to recompile it.
