Can you go a level deeper on "not receive updates from Arch" ? That's a very
non-secure distro :)

I could help figure out a debian roll-your-own distro with something like
debootstrap but haven't looked into arch before. Check out archlabslinux.com
to see a custom built arch distro with an active forum. Maybe they can help.
