I also have NetRunner installed in Linux just fine. Get the latest version of
it here; http://www.mysticbbs.com/downloads/prealpha/ - still in a rar file,
but it might have been some flag you used instead of another to extract.

I prefer SyncTERM over NetRunner as the font compatibility in NetRunner is
still a little broken, there are missing fonts in it which bugs me.
