I use mine to watch TV shows and movies.

The LibreElec distro at https://libreelec.tv/ provides ready-made images with the Kodi media player. It picks up the HDMI-CEC remote from most TVs, so you can drive it with your regular TV control. Otherwise you can connect via Kore app on Android which provides a remote, or USB keyboard/gamepad.
