Yep, we have a culture of "gotta be on site no matter what" that stems from a
lot of our people from the bottom to the top having retail backgrounds. When
you work with people who take pride in showing up after barely surviving the
a treacherous commute during a snow storm, some "little cold" isn't going to
slow them down. I mentioned a death earlier in the week. I just found out
someone in my building, on my floor, is confirmed infected. Because of the
aforementioned attitude, they were at work for at least a week before given
the opportunity to work from home or calling in sick (I'm not sure which.)

Even after they more or less mandated we work from home several people on my
team were going in, despite the fact that close to if not 100% of our work
can be done remotely (depending on the particular person.) *sigh*
