I think I (well, we... combined income) could... possibly... "afford" an
exotic car, just not in any sensible meaning of the word "afford". It's a
terrible  financial decision until you have so much money that any of the
numerous associated downsides no longer matter to you. 

Not trying to say I don't think they're fucking cool or anything - there's a
dude in my apartment building who owns one (just traded in his already
awesome looking one for an even more awesome looking one, in fact) and every
time I pass it I can't take my eyes off of it.
