I only use it for the initial installs (which is when I noticed keyboard input was much better). Once SSH is setup, I just connect to it with Putty for anything else.

Yep, same. However, I've done this quite a bit with my main BBS/FTN VM. It could have probably been split into separate VMs, but when it's only running under 5% CPU and under 2gb of RAM (I have 4gb given to it), it can handle everything I've put there just fine. I may as well leave that one alone.

Agreed, I do like Mystic. I also like to keep it accessible so I can help with support/questions, if I have to get to the config or try to re-create an issue someone is having. Otherwise, I tend to enjoy keeping up with open source software (or even closed source) that is still somewhat actively developed, so it's kind of off my radar at this time.

Same, except I have two "main" Windows gaming computers (one is my son's), and then the server machine that hosts anything else I don't want on the main computers. I only need Putty (for telnet and ssh access), and WinSCP (to move files around, if needed) installed on both machines to access the server at any time.
