There's a guy on Youtube you two might like, unfortunately I can't find his page. He will buy "stuff" like the Amazon mystery boxes of broken stuff, batches of Xboxes and other stuff that's basically dead and sees how much he can sell them for, or write off the cost if he can't fix them, and keeps a running spreadsheet.
