Small appliance electricity isn't of much concern to me, really. I mean, most
of us run BBSs and or multiple VMs of them on a machine that stays on 24/7.
Easily the same amount of electricity as a TV would use (and the TV still gets
turned off automatically soon after we've fallen asleep). I'd be more concerned
about the HVAC that makes the energy bill so expensive, if cost is what the
concern is here.
