I suppose I've been fortunate - I started realitycheckBBS in 1991, and
made a couple of changes, from Telegard to Maximus to Synchronet, then
DOS to OS/2 and Windows, and from bare metal desktops to laptops and now
virtualization. at no point have I lost *everything* and needed to start
over (knocks wood vigorously).
