The GO Transit system here in Toronto - actually it covers a significant part 
of the surrounding area as well - has the fabric seats on most of the trains.

And yes, the fabric colour and design screams 80's... all thats missing is 
wood panelling.

I'm guessing they're in some contract with an upholsterer or its just too 
expensive to replace seats on the many trains they have.
