Subj : Mystic File Base vs File Group? To : viperprime From : Vorlon Date : Fri Aug 17 2018 10:08:31 Hello viperprime! 16 Aug 18 10:36, you wrote to all: vi> In Other boards you can make "Groups" or "Collections" Of "File Areas" vi> Like, for, instance a Simtel-20 "Group" with all the individual areas vi> located within, in a hierarchical directory. You have hit the nail on the head. Think of groups as sig's. You make a group name for either file and or messages: Agoranet We will call this group 1 In the message base editor you add the bit's you want to set and for the list/read/post/sysop options you list it like so: List: s10g1 Read: s10g1 Post: s20g1 Sysop: s255g1 This tells the system that new users can, list the area (they see it), read the area and post to the area. The sysop acs is the level that is needed for sysop like commands. Now the same thing happens for files, except it uses z. So example: List acs: s10z1 Upload acs: s255 Download: s10z1 etc...
