FidoNet was always about control-freaks being control-freaks and shitting on
anyone who wanted to have a conversation about anything remotely
controversial. Hell, they used to shit on Tom Jennings because he talked
about being gay in FidoNews, which rubbed bible beaters the wrong way.

That generation is gone, and I don't know who's left other than russians, but
I can't imagine it's improved much.
