It turns out the ANSI was fine. It was my tmux screen combined with the terminal settings that messed me up.

The ansi is correct.

Right now I am currently looking to switch to synchronet, which is a bit daunting to be honest - but - I don't mind. It's probably all in my head.

Anyhoo.
