Talking animals =============== In some children's shows with animals, they can communicate perfectly well with other animals, even those of different species, EXCEPT humans. But it's *us* who can't understand them beyond our half-baked intuitions about how they act, because somehow they understand us even if they can't talk to us in a way that we find meaningful. Could it be that in those fictional worlds there exists a shared animal language that was bestowed upon all creation except humans? In those worlds humans are excluded from universal communication. After all, it wasn't cats and dogs who built the tower of Babel.
