Maybe, but that verse has been used to justify racial universalism and thus mass migration. I am pointing this out specifically because of my argument that any religion that does not account for idiots reading the material (as opposed to the learned) is destined to be used against the people. You and others like you interpret that passage to mean one thing, but subversives interpret it to mean another and therein lies the problem. When idiots and evil people read it, they think "Gee, there's no difference between a village of Whites and a horde of Nigerians, as long as both are Christian, so welcome aboard!"

I fully agree, but I disagree that it's symptomatic of only the modern world. Humans have always been that selfish and lazy, and the real difference is that modern world allows for an expression of that evil that prior centuries couldn't. Most of the "virtues" of work and discipline are simple gaslighting to help people get through the tedium of hard living.
