       I participated again this past Friday in Synth Battle Royale.  
       Since the DST shift happened, SBR was an hour earlier since SDF goes 
       by UTC time.  Not sure how this work with my current schedule.  SDF 
       users, screwtape, ldbeth, gef, x2180, xiled, and smj were in this 
       battle.  Unfortunately, my battle was a m0ar personal one against my 
       technology. 
       
       I missed transmitting my Round 1 due to technical difficulties.  
       Round 2 was meh..but I did get my microphone working, but the levels
       were low.  Also, I had switched out my simple mixer from last week 
       to a m0ar complicated DJ mixer that I had acquired from DJ buttstuf 
       (miss you, man!)  It turns out that my lead synth was not even 
       transmitting even though I could hear it through my headphones.  This 
       was due to the crossfader being set to the lead synth instead of to 
       "thru" and the slider was pushed to the opposite side.
       
       I have found that it is important to understand your hardware and 
       its interconnections prior to connecting to the openmic mount point, 
       or you end up doing as I did and not having an optimal experience.  
       Not a big deal for me since I was able to work through the issues 
       and learn some new things.

       give the recordings a more active listening since I was so 
       distracted with my issues that I couldn't focus so much on the other
