       Yesterday I completed my DIY Stomp Box and have documented it in the
       projects section of my gopherspace.  Here is a direct link [1].  I
       will probably html-ize it for the gopher-impaired.
       
       Man, I miss this device.  I fired up my enTourage Pocket eDGe [2] to 
       write.  I picked this up when enTourage was going out of business
       and had their fire sale on 1saleaday.com (now defunct.)  This device
       was so cool for an Android device and reminds me of how creative 
       companies were back then with the hardware.
       
       This particular device has 2 screens, a markable 6" eink screen and a 
       7" TFT resistive color display.  It also has a bunch of buttons and a 
       trackpad of some kind for your thumb (I don't know the technical 
       name for it, but it reminds me of the pointing device on one of my old
       Blackberries.  It also has a stylus for the resistive screen.  Kinda
       reminds me of the Nintendo DS.  They had a larger model with a 10"
       screen, which would have been nice, but not as portable.
       
       The Pocket eDGe folds like a book and you can also fold it all the
       way back.  It's nice that you can position the screen in various
       positions.  Currently, I have it open like a laptop with a Fellowes
       Stowaway USB folding keyboard, which is almost exactly like the old
       Palm III folding keyboards except for the connector.
       
       The device is rooted running Android 2.2.1 and I am connected to sdf 
       over ssh using ConnectBot.  I probably shouldn't connect it to the 
       Internet, but eh, whatever.
       
       I should write more about this one for the personal computing saga.
