Since I am in my current situation in life, I was not up to the challenge of dealing with too much hardware, so I went the software route for my ROOPHLOCH 2023 phost. The file I provided is a sound file. If you listen to it, you will experience the mysterious sounds of data transmission at 1200 baud; "the beauty of the baud." This was the final speed I experienced online data transmissions on my Commodore 64 prior to obtaining a computer adequate for a SLIP/PPP connection over dialup so I see that new Internet thing. "Nobody ever needs m0ar than 1200 baud. I can't even read that fast! Sheesh, when I started, I was connecting at 300 baud and downloaded over PUNTER protocol UPHILL and BAREFOOT in the SNOW!!! Back then, packets went UPHILL and I had unlimited DOWNHILL since the SYSOP was my bud!!! Now get offa my lawn!" *shakes cane* What I wanted to do was write my ROOPHLOCH phost on the Gemini PDA which would be connected via audio cable to the Titan smartphone. Both would be running minimodem with Gemini transmitting and Titan receiving. The Titan would recieve the data and relay over to the Super Dimensional Fortress. That did not happen. I spent some time troublshooting, even trying acoustic coupler-style connections, but no dice. NOTE: Testing prior to going out in the field is very helpful. What actually happened was the file was typed out on the Gemini PDA (termux and nano), fed into minimodem (on the Gemini), and sent to an audio file. The file was sent over to the Titan via bluetooth and then SFTP'd over mobile broadband to SDF. The phost is not in text, but audio (is that valid?) Anyhow, I added a short phost in text with a link to the audio. Here's how to decode the transmitted phost: 1. Install minimodem [1] 2. Download ROOPHLOCH_2023.wav 3. Type in the following command: minimodem -r 1200 -f ROOPHLOCH_2023.wav | less The data was sent to the file at 1200 baud so minimodem should receive at the same speed. I used the minimodem package in termux. If you get stuck or do not want to attempt to decode my phost, I have made the phost available.
