Macintosh IIci Product Description:
 
The Macintosh IIci's 32-bit 68030 microprocessor achieves a clockspeed of 25 megahertz.
 
In addition, the Macintosh IIci features include:
 
--  68882 floating-point math coprocessor that provides fast processing of
    complex mathematic functions
--  Paged Memory Management Unit (PPMU) that supports multitasking
    operating systems such as A/UX is built into the 68030 processor
--  512K Read-Only Memory (ROM) that includes 32-Bit QuickDraw and 32-bit
    addressing
--  Burst mode RAM access enables instructions and data to be read more
    quickly than normal access mode
--  Built-in video support eliminates the need for a video card. This makes
    the Nubus slot usually reserved for the video card available for other
    uses.
--  Memory cache connector supports high-speed cahche memory cards
--  1.4MB FDHD SuperDrive allows for formatting, reading, and writing to
    Apple 400K,800K, and 1.4MB floppy disks, and ProDOS, MS-DOS, OS/2 72OK
    and 1.44MB floppies.
--  3 NuBus expansion slots
--  8 built-in ports: 2 serial ports, 2 Apple Desktop Bus ports, 1 SCSI
    port, 1 DB-19 serial port, 1 DB-15 video port, and 1 sound port.
--  Locking power switch allows the system top restart itself if there is a
    power failure.
--  Apple sound chip supports high-quality, four-voice digital sound
    reproduction.
 
Monitors
 
The Macintosh IIci with its built in video feature supports multiple monitor sizes at multiple bit depths; among them are Apple monitors:
 
--  12-inch Apple High Resolution Monochrome Monitor, with up to 256 shades
    of gray
--  13-inch AppleColor High Resolution RGB Monitor, with up to 256 colors
    or shades of gray
--  14-inch AppleColor Monitor ***New product***, up to 256 colors
--  15-inch Apple Macintosh Portrait Display, with up to 16 shades of gray
 
Parity Support
 
This optional feature provides maximum memory checking. The optional parity
feature must be ordered at time of purchase (it cannot be added later), and
includes the Parity Generator Chip (PGC) and Parity DRAM.

Technical Notes/Upgrades: 

As a result of the higher clockspeed (Macintosh IIci DRAM must be rated at 80ns or faster) and parity support, Apple is making RAM upgrades specifically for the Macintosh IIci in 1MB, 4MB, and 4MB Parity configurations.
