Hi! Those of you who are planning to attend the annual meeting of the International Working Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education (aka, PME) in Baton Rouge, Lousianna on November 5 - 8 will have a chance to meet this curator in the flesh. Together with Dr. Delwyn Harnisch from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I will be presenting a technology focus group on instructional and evaluative uses of technology. Our topic will center around the teaching and learning of elementary mathematics in a technology intensive setting (despite the title in the program). We aim to present some news you can use and hands-on practice whether you are a mathematics teacher, teacher educator, administrator, or student of mathematics. I hope to have a chance to meet many of you. Let the good math role! Michael L. Connell, Ph.D. CONNELL@GSE.UTAH.EDU .
