This causes problems for tla as it expects files to not be modified. (In general creating pristines always end up as LF, even if they were CRLF). I have a small patch in john@arbashmeinel.com--tla-2004/tla--win32-diff-w-binary--1.3 Right now it's an #ifdef for win32 or cygwin. It could also be done with a config option. cfg__patch_needs_binary_flag sort of thing.
