Does anybody know from looking at the code or from trying it? I know that GNU tar (and tla depends on *GNU* tar...) handles spase files if the archive is _created_ with -S option. I also know, that cp by default creates sparse files if the source is sparse (= block count < size) and can be forced to always create sparse files (--sparse=always), but I am not sure whether tla calls cp at all and with what options. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jan 'Bulb' Hudec --zYM0uCDKw75PZbzx Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFCBzAMRel1vVwhjGURAj3YAJ9bFoKIYm1bDmem+dVbokMOleDXDwCgtj2S dq0tCHceF4CcQzmqSKvEhh0= =TeV6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --zYM0uCDKw75PZbzx-- --===============0835191726== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ Gnu-arch-users mailing list Gnu-arch-users@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnu-arch-users GNU arch home page: http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/gnu-arch/ --===============0835191726==--
