The release includes: Some key UI changes Many community patches incorporated. Bazaar format archives are supported equally with tla format archives. Where to get Bazaar ? The Bazaar homepage at http://bazaar.canonical.com/ lists binary and source= locations for bazaar. Key UI changes: =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D * new command 'diff' which does the obvious * new command 'switch', which allows one to change to a different branch in one step, preserving local changes. * add will not add control paths or paths that do not exist * tag renamed to branch, which will branch the local tree if given one parameter, or act as tag if two parameters are given * make-archive creates baz format archives by default. Community patches: =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Baz incorporates many patches for the tla codebase that it is based on from the community. Thank you to the coders of those patches ...=20 Aaron Bentley Cameron Patrick Christian Thaeter Colin Walters Haakon Riiser James Blackwell Jani Monoses Joel Rosdahl Johannes Berg Matthew Dempsky (Jivera) Matthew Palmer MLH Robert Collins Scott Parish Yann Droneaud Baz format archives and the GNU Arch protocol: =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Baz now creates bazaar format archives. While we started out with the intent to solely create an improved user interface, we have recognised that there are model issues that we will have to address in the near future, and Bazaar 1.0 takes the first steps in this direction. As usual, we'll be more than happy to offer submission branches to the GNU Arch mainline for any of the alterations we have made. We've taken the step of creating a separate archive format to prevent any accidental compatibility issues prior to such changes propagating to the GNU Arch mainline.=20 At this point the Bazaar archive formats changes are limited to: * the archive signature * .archive-version is listed in /.listing * the category and branch directories have been flattened, and archive-setup will not create anything less than a version.
