I have the same card which works fine with io 0x220,irq
5,dma 1,dma16 0
however I have a pnp bios which initialises the card to
these settings.
Otherwise you can use the isapnp support with mu to do this
but you will either have to write your own
/etc/isapnp/extensa.conf or use an isapnp configuration tool
and manually edit the resultant conf file; the supplied
extensa.conf does not work with the ess1868. I have used
isapnp to change irq from 5 to 7 to prevent conflict with an
old network card so rest assured, it does work. If you are
launching mu from dos there is a configuration programme
that is usually supplied with the dos sound drivers that
will accomplish the same result and is more intuitive to
use.
