Adolf was fourth in the line of children, two of the oldest died from diptheria, and the third died shortly after birth, so Adolf was raised as an only child. His dad was a customs offical, and his mom showered him with attention and love. So why is this wonderful, loved child remembered as a murderer and land-grabber? Well, youre about to find out! When he was three, the family moved to Passu, which is a little town just on the other side of the river that seperates Germany from Austria. His dad had problems though, and beat him regularly. Soon, two more children entered the family. When Adolf was thirteen, (ready for a shocker?) he showed ARTISTIC abilities. When his father put him in a speicail school, Adolf was eager. There was one little problem, though: He didn't do well. His father died in 1903, of a strange desease. Adolf suffered from the same symptoms as his father, and quit shool at 16, partly because he could've died from the illness, and partly, because of bad grades. In 1906, Adolf decided to go to Vienna (A city in Austria) to study art. His mother agreed to let him go. When he got there, they said he was no good. Later on that year, his mother developed breast cancer, and she was taken care of by a Jewish doctor, named Bloch. After several surguries, she died. (Some think that the fact that Hitlers mother was treated by a Jewish doctor, and died, had triggered his hate for them.) Hitler stayed in Vienna for six years living on some money his father had left behind, and orphan pensions. He slept in bars, most of the time, and by 1909, he was broke. So he lived in shelters, owned by Jews. During this time, and the time he recieved a letter informing him of his mothers death, he began hving prejeduce thought about Jews. He also descovered his talent in politics. But also at this time, two of his best friends were Jewish, and he admired thier determination, and even studied thier religon for a time. Hitler soon left Vienna, to avoid being put into the millitary. He followed a rumor of a dying aunt to Buvaria. Soon after, a policeman appeared at his door, and told hi he was under arrest, for leaving his homeland without permission. He was taken into service. World War one flared off with an assasination of the heir to the Austrian Empire. Hitler's hate for people of a different race went up high. Battles shook Germany while Hitler was recovering from serious wounds from the battle at Ypres. Most Jews had started a rebellion, and Hitler's hate for them raised. By now, Hitler has found his talent for public speaking, and after he had been put into a millitary regiment, to keep tabs on the German Workers Party, he began to speak publicly, captivating his audiance. Word reached people from other towns, and they came to the millitary camp to hear him speak about freedom from the Jews, and other such things. Soon many people hated Jews, and Hitler formed a small party, one that would work it's way to pushing everyone who was not German, out of the country. The party began drawing thousands of members in, and everyone thought it was wonderful to blame Jews for everthing that happend in thier contry. He wrote in a book that he was writing: "The Jews ultimate gaol is denaturalzation of other peoples. The lowering of racial levels of the highest peoples, as well as the domination of his racial mishmash through exirpitation of the folkish intellect, and it's replacement of thier own people." (In fact, Germany was the big 'peoples', trying to overthrow everyone, and taking thier place, not Jews.) Germany could stop the Jews from taking over the world, if they wiped them out. By doing so, Germany would find living space. (Whatever) "This living space," Hitler said, "Will come from conquering Russia, and Slavic countries." Hitler became thier F'Ahrer, soon after. Hitlers army invaded Poland on the 27 of September, sparking England and France to declare war on Germany. A huge army swept into Western Europe, wiping out country, after country, after country. Germany was on top. (Hard to think, when you look at the modern day Germany.) In 1941, Hitler ignored a pact he had made with the Soviet Union, and attacked. They beat down everything, except Moscow. That was where half the army fled, and the other half were either killed, or wounded. Soon, the United States (WHOO-HOO!) entered the war. And with thier help, England, France, Italy, and Poland squashed Hitler flat. Seeing that his war was lost, Adolf Hitler killed himself on April 30th, 1945. The poor guy hanged himself. By this time, he had thrown out, and killed, nearly 80% of the Jewish population, in Europe. Now, all there is of this vast Empire, is a little peice of land, with nearly 45,000,00 people squashed in.
