CINEMA AND TELEVISION OPTION ============================ Option Aims/Objectives & Careers -------------------------------- The Cinema and Television Option offers a theoretical and production- intensive education for those with a serious commitment to work in the field of cinema and television. Specific objectives are as follows: 1) A variety of theoretical and applied subjects make up a professional curriculum in which students are provided with diverse creative experiences, basic to advanced, in both the conceptual and production phases of film, video, radio, cinematography, sound, and animation. 2) Intensive subject work is available in a variety of areas including directing, producing, and writing as well as in the craft and technical skills of film editing, video post- production, and sound recording and re-recording. 3) Classes in cinema studies provide students with a critical and historical perspective from which to analyse their artistic endeavours. Graduates will develop careers in the television, cinema and graphics industries. Major Curriculum ---------------- 1.
