IX. PARKING FACILITIES There are in total 180 car parking spaces in the University available in Ho Sin Hang Campus, Shaw Campus and Baptist University Road Campus. 1. Parking Permits There are three types of parking permits: Type I Permit: For parking during carpark opening hours from 7:00a.m. to 11:00p.m. daily. Type II Permit: For picking up/dropping off and parking after 5:30p.m. and during weekends and public holidays. Type III Permit: For parking after 5:30p.m. in weekdays, after 12:00 noon on Saturdays and during public holidays. 2. Eligibility Type I Permit: The applicant must be a full-time staff member on Terms of Service A. Type II Permit: The applicant must be a full-time staff member. Type III Permit: The applicant must be a part-time evening lecturer/instructor (including that teaching SCE course(s)) In all cases, the applicant must be a holder of valid Hong Kong driving licence, and the applicant or his/her spouse must be the owner of the vehicle(s) concerned. 3. Application a. Type I and Type II Permit i. Type I and Type II parking permit shall be valid for one year, commencing 1 September each year to 31 August the following year. ii. Application forms (White for Type I permit and blue for Type II permit) and payment slips can be obtained from the Estates Office at 1/F, Block 6 of Low-Rise Buildings in Baptist University Road Campus or RRS201 of Sir Run Run Shaw Building in Ho Sin Hang Campus. b. Type III Permit i. Type III Parking Permit shall be issued twice yearly. Each permit shall be valid for 6 months commencing 1 September each year to 28/29 February the following year, and 1 March to 31 August each year. ii. There shall be an initial block vote. Staff members wishing to apply for a Type III permit shall give their names to the Estates Office via their departments or course leaders for issue of the application forms and payment slips. After the initial block vote, staff members have to apply individually to the Estates Office. No application will be accepted once the quota for the permit is reached. 5. Reserved and Visiting Carparks A maximum of two parking spaces on each campus carpark will, upon request, be reserved during office hours on a first-come- first-served basis for official guest/visitors of each meeting/ seminar/conference except for meetings of the Council, the Court and other major University-organised functions, for which a large number of parking spaces can be reserved upon request. Request for visitor's parking after office hours will be accepted subject to availability. 6.
