I took university classes (for the undecided students) for the first year, where I met most of the athletes, who were there on scholarships. I decided to pick a major with the least amount of science or math and that was education. I minored in distillary arts (there were 21 bars on campus). These days I'm staying at home with the youngin's and I'd say that I'm putting both my degrees to good use ********************** And I forgot about graduate school... but it was more a lesson in bureaucracy. ------------------------------ From: "RickNBarbInSD" Subject: Re: drug tests for jobs (NDC) Date: 20 Oct 2005 10:08:28 -0700 Steve Lenier wrote: > I took one awhile back...they had me empty my pockets into a drawer which I > locked and took the key, no pat down or anything beyond that...then into a > small bathroom (alone) in which all the water was turned off so you couldn't > do the dehydrated thing, and you couldn't flush the toilet either...and the > sample container had a thermometer on it, and the urine had to fit within a > certain heat range or they figured you had brought it in...I chatted with > the guy out of interest for a couple minutes, he said people try a lot of > things but that not much works and they usually catch them. > > Steve I've done it a couple of times. I saw them/us get kicked out of Berkeley for pretty much the same reasons (too many smelly, rude, panhandling freaks) - which is of course also saying something. Sad. Your 'smelly' comment reminds me of seeing Phish in Vegas one time. At a blackjack table the dealer said to me and my friends, "You are all here for the Phish shows, right? You all seem so nice and normal. What I don't understand is, what's with all these other Phish fans who don't wash themselves? That just doesn't make any sense to me." Oh for crying out loud!
If you have to criticize him, at least criticize him for someone he has
acually done, not for some stupid internet rumor that you are part of

He sucks and is way overrated for everything he has done?
Seriously, take a poll, I'll bet the number one criticism
is that he is simply overrated and takes a bit of limelight
from those who may deserve more.

Regardless of your political perspective, the Wall Street Journal is a great newspaper. The Weekend & Personal Journals are worth their weight in gold. Even the pro-business Opinion section offers differing and informative perspectives. I learned alot about economics from Robert Bartley himself. The WSJ makes a good counterbalance to most city papers. Although, it will probably dwarf most other news in the quality, intelligence and content departments.
