And you have YET to show me where it is these droves of parents who drug their kids are - no proof, just bla bla bla from you. I live it. Every day, as does my son. I was mistaken about the ability of a brain scan being an absolute to test for ADHD, but that brain scan DID help determine my son has it. I know a hell of a lot more about ADHD and living with it, treatments for it, and parents of kids with it, than you ever will, unless you've started a serious course in the study of it. You're just talking out your ass. So - where is your proof that parents are drugging their kids right and left without any reason to do so? Where's your proof that ritalin will make "normal" kids behave? I stick by what I said - there isn't any proof, because ritalin and other drugs used to treat ADHD will not work to calm kids who haven't got ADHD. I DO know what I am talking about because I LIVE it. I think it's fair to say you sound like an asshole when arguing about it, because you don't know a damn thing about it. As I've pointed out to you, there is NO hard science on this. Alcohol, coffee, marijuana, cocaine, etc. all produce a variety of reactions in different people. To isolate a set of conditions and say that whatever drug produces the opposite effect therefore would indicate one specific cause is ludicrous, and it's not hard science. Obviously you didn't get that I've lived it too and I've done a hell of a lot more research on it than you. As to your son's condition, I never said you didn't do the right things, but some of your comments have led me to believe that your research was one-sided. Also, you claimed I posted an news article of some sort relating to the over-drugging of children or whatever. I never posted any such article. I merely pointed out that your view seems to target the media as having some grudge against parents who medicate their kids. I see no such evidence. The media needs to cover this issue cause there are indeed plenty of bad parents out there who act out of laziness. -JC ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Whoa, my kid met a star at the airport...
