So close that there has been a legend around for years that you can graft hops onto a cannabis rootstock to produce hops stuffed with THC. You know the sort of legend. Everybody knows someone who has a cousin that did it successfully, but they've never tried it themselves. My understanding is that cannabis needs to be cooked or smoked to generate the required effect. Midwives used to prescribe cannabis tea for labouring women to ease labour, but it had no hallucinogenic effect at all. Mark http://dylanstubs.com ------------------------------ From: "Nick's Picks" Subject: MUCH cheese this week Date: 11 Oct 2005 05:21:40 -0700 so SCI started their fall tour in New England w/a pair of shows at the state theatre in Portland, followed up by another duce at the Casino in NH. I went to the first night of each run. thurs:, which is currently seeding on BT.ETREE.ORG was pretty decent. They played a few tunes I liked..but for the most part, this was the SCI that I typicaly poke fun at. it was weak...I could feel the estrogen. I wonder if they drove to the show in PT Cruisers? Sat in Hampton was another story. Awesome setlist. Great playing. No wet noodle tunes. I think the difference (besides my buzz) was that there was maybe only one Kyle tune. I can't stand his songs. But they played all my favs. Opened the 2nd set Jam > Round the Wheel > Freedom Jazz Dance. How can you go wrong w/that? It was fun, funky, sold out and everyone was into it. I got to hang w/Mr. X and his better half for a while throughout the night. Neil....have you ever considered dressing up as Chewbacka for halloween? :) Of course...the taping gods were not shinning on me for either night. My companion Carl was able to pull good stuff the first night, and got the 2nd set for Sat. Me...dont ask. after scrapping my rig and trying to put something together out of the closets of my various taping friends...i had the "best of 1993" rig put together. My neumanns > an apogee AD1000 > DAP1 dat deck. I havn't run a dat deck since 2001 ! talk about old school. Of course...my 5 year old battery dies after 30min. Guess it lived out its life. It was fully charged when we started...and was way more power than the night required, so it should have run all night w/o issue. aaahhh well. what can you do. Hopefully my memories will last. Neither show had the balls of the BIG SUMMER CLASSIC set earlier this year at Greatwoods. But thats understandable as there was not a parade of great bands leading up to SCI. Sat..well, that was close. One of my favorite SCI performances for sure. so, we have my 28minutes of set one, and all of set 2. I need a patch. anyone know any of the other two people taping? :) ------------------------------ From: "Rogues Island's finest" Subject: Re: (NDC) Attention Yankee fans Date: 11 Oct 2005 05:51:08 -0700 DG wrote: > Kelly Humphries wrote: > > > >http://www.speakeasy.net/~kpisces/haha.wav > > > Most Yanks fans realize this was an underachieving bunch. (or Fort Collins) (NDC) Date: Tue, 11 Oct 2005 07:25:01 -0600 Definitely don't live in Greeley. The smell from Monfort will do you in. There are many nice towns in between Greeley and Ft. Collins. There, Windsor, Timnath, Ault (A Unique Little Town, quaint huh?), to the north and west there's Wellington, Laporte, Bellevue and to the South you have Loveland, Berthoud and Longmont. Ft. Collins is ideal. You have CSU, Old Town Square, The Aggie (soon to be a great place to see live music) and it's true about the weather. There's lots of sun and it doesn't really feel that cold. As far as traveling goes, living in the north puts you about 1.5 hours from Red Rocks, 45min from the Boulder Theatre (excellent venue for music with some big names to boot, saw David Crosby with CPR from the 4th row). Outdoor adventures you can pretty much pick. Rocky Mountain National Park is 30-45min from Ft. Collins or Greeley, Poudre Canyon and Roosevelt National Forest is 15 minutes from Ft. Collins and 45min from Greeley. You're within an hour to two hours drive from any ski resort, A-Basin, Loveland, Winter Park etc. If the job's good I'd take it. There's a lot of places to live but very few beats NW CO. It's not cheap. Housing is rather high right now but a bargain shopper can find the right place and fix it up. I have given quite a bit of stuff (including my old GD VHS videos) and even got a nice pair of Fischer speakers. People will come and get anything if it is for free, especially if you post in a wealthier community - people from all around subscribe to those groups. The big problem is people saying they will pick stuff up, but don't. You need to keep a few people in line in case one fails to show. I gave a way 300 bricks for landscaping last year, probably had 30 people within 2 hours beggin to pick them up. ------------------------------ From: joker4153@comcast.net Subject: Re: who on rmgd would you like to meet?
