The politicians in California are by and large a bunch of egomaniacs who get little done other than wasting taxpayer dollars and the celebrities only make it worse. It's > $3.50+- here in the NY metro. The most I've paid in Oregon and Washington this summer was $2.95, in Seattle. Most of the time I get it for around $2.60-$2.75. I thought it was odd that prices are so low relative to the rest of the country, especially at little beach towns that are way off the beaten track. And in Oregon every station has to employ kids to pump your gas since self-serv is illegal. Maybe part of it is the difference in state taxes, and the nature of the people selling the gas. A lot fewer company owned stations and a lot more mom and pops. EGBH ------------------------------ From: JC Martin Subject: Re: George Busch drinking......AGAIN.....
