Merle is very alert and aware, bright eyes and bright smiles; great energy and a certain kind of peace seem obvious in the man. That said, as was noted, his mobility is quite limited. One arm/hand don't really work very well, he walks only with assistance and can not speak at all. That prognosis is not expected to change. I'm afraid his musical days are behind him. It was not Mountain Girl, by the way, who was helping him most of the night. I'm not sure exactly who it was, but it wasn't MG. Still, it was great to see him, and he truly appreciated the love that was shown him by the Dead family and the audience. ------------------------------ From: "Carlisle" Subject: Re: Gore 08 ???
