I've read a few other posts by you in which you hint at being unhappy or depressed. If these are true feelings you should go to your doctor and talk about them. Depression can be treated and if left untreated can get worse, much worse. I've got the Rockalpast video or I would take you up on your offer. You're right, Pete does look out of his element while on stage with the boys. Oh, and, I also think that you should change your usenet name. I stand corrected. Tom ------------------------------ From: mikesgruv@gmail.com Subject: Re: Gore 08 ??? Date: 24 Sep 2005 06:21:12 -0700 I doubt Gore will run again. Kerry will run again but I don't think he'll get the nomination. Hillary will run but I don't think she'll get the nomination either -- she's got too high negatives and could not be competive in the red states. In my view what Democrats need is a red state governor who can't be tied to the mess in Washington. One possibility is Tom Vilsack of Iowa, a thoughtful policy guy with a pretty compelling story (adopted, raised by a family with an alcoholic mother, grew up in Western PA but moved to Iowa when he married an Iowan -- hitting two battleground states at once). I think the best choice, though, would be Bill Richardson of New Mexico. He'd be the first hispanic major party candidate for president, from a part of the country that has been conservative but increasingly moderate, with outstanding foreign policy credentials as Clinton's UN Ambassador. ------------------------------ From: "Carlisle" Subject: Re: Opening bands today.... if the grateful dead was still here Date: 24 Sep 2005 07:01:38 -0700 chosney wrote: > Who would you want to see at the big shows, and its not just a good > group, someone to get the vibe going that can stretch it out a bit.... > It could be a reunion older/band or a newer band...I think you have to > say no bands that consistently sell out major sheds, arenas or stadiums > though. > > My votes would be for... > > Wilco > White Stripes > Sheryl Crow > Camper Van Beethoven/Cracker > American Music Club > Ryan Adams > Paul Westerberg Two words--Trey Anastasio. No matter how bad off you think you are, there's always someone who has it worse. How about the old people who survived days in a New Orleans nursing home in the sweltering heat surrounded by dead bodies floating in sewage. They were finally rescued and evacuated to a nursing home in Houston. Then *another* hurricane comes along so they're put on a bus to evacuate Houston and the bus blows up.
