When it comes to producing the heat, I feel the best approach is not to try and make wood your sole source of it, but rather just to take the edge off your energy bills. My parents live in a similar situation to what you describe, and use electric baseboard heat and a couple high efficiency wood stoves. One between the kitchen and front living area and the other in the basement to heat my Dad's workshop. It works out very nicely. Set the thermostat for the electric low and when you want it warmer heat up the stove. And it really, really works. Date: 14 Sep 2005 18:21:37 -0700 i happen to like jazz a great deal. i don't think you could classify LOM as 'true' jazz. it does share the improvisational elements, but LOM has a unique sound. i would even dare say the sound is not even close to what some would call 'fusion'. it is improvisational rock with a horn section. even the song selection is more oriented towards rock than jazz. classifying LOM as a jazz band is a stretch. -m ------------------------------ From: "Dave Kelly" Subject: Re: Why don't I like Legion of Mary??? The LOMhorns were to me as grating as when he played with the Dead in '73. just not my cup of tea. Horns have their place. I am watching the 21st Century Schizoid band Live in japan 2002 DVD as i type and theyhave two horn players . that works well.
