Here is what we have so far. Sat Jan 9th Park Cleanup 9:30am-12 We will be going to Cowen park which is located where Brooklyn NE and Ravenna NE meet look for the play equipment. We have some gloves and Trash bags which we will hand out and then we will pick up trash and broken glass. This park is a good choice because it has recently been the subject of vandalism by UW frat members. Maybe we can show some people that college students are a diverse bunch. We will be driving. Be at Mcarty loop by 9:30 if interested. Sat Jan 16th Pledge Project Cleaning up the King Str. Co-op Preschool playground The King street Co-op is located at 1610 S king Str and they have a playground that they woudl love for us to cleanup. We did this project last year and it was fun. We will drive again. We will meet at the Mcarty loop at 9:30 Feb 6th Sat. World Concern 9am-1 World Concern is an organization which sends aid to third world countries. We will be going to their wharehouse and helping them sort seeds and clothes. More info on this project later. We will be driving. *Teen Shelter. If you are interested in volunteering at a Teen shelter anynight of the week contact me and I will get you more info. volunteering at the teen shelter is simply hanging out with street youth and providing them with a safe place to spend the night.
