Collaboration is also very much welcomed. We met previously in Denmark and last year at the International Conference on Creativity and Innovation at Grassroots where I presented a paper. I recently got a two year research grant for research on farmers' innovations. I have two tasks: one is to develop methods for measuring the level of farmers' innovative activities that can be incorporated into a Geographical Information System, and the other is two identify barriers and promoting factors to farmers' innovations. My fieldwork covers two areas in Kenya and one in Tanzania - both under The African Highland Initiative. In Europe I am attached to Paul Richards' group at University of Wageningen. I wonder if you or people you know about have systematically identified barriers and promoting factors of innovations. Any reference and suggestion is warmly welcomed.
