"think more about Christ's faithfulness to you than your faithfulness to Him. pray and thank the Lord for His commitment to you despite our lack of commitment to Him. think 100 times more His holiness in us than our sinfulness in our flesh. why? because turning your eyes on Jesus is always the main focus, even more so than a preoccupation of yourself. besides, your salvation has everything to do with your obedience to God. in other words, your sanctification is a work of Christ's Spirit in and through you and an outflow of your justification. in fact, the righteousness of Christ [in you] frees you from the penalty and power of sin and exchanges your sinfulness & unrighteousness for Christ's holiness & righteousness. stop getting your approval, worth, value & significance from God [& others] by trying to obey the law. instead, obey God because you are saved. but always keep your eyes on Jesus and see yourself and life through the lens of the cross. when the Lord sees you He sees Christ and so He's always filled with love for you and pleased with you, if not all your actions. your sins He forgives, forgets and cleans you by the blood of the cross. go and know this with your whole heart and live, not as orphans, but adopted sons of the living God. act like you're in His family. you're a co-heir, son, freed, loved, approved, significant, joyed up, forgiven, forever living, ambassador, citizen of heaven, righteous and even much more."
