Basically, we're a small time operation. Our only income comes from membership dues ($15-$25 per person) which gave us a couple of hundred dollars, about $150 of which went to club membership dues, sporadic payment from Montlake, we haven't gotten anything from them in over six months, and club sports money which goes almost entirely to van rental and gas for collegiate trips. We supposedly have a little club sports money left over which we were going to give to those who raced collegiately to cover some entry fees. We spend dues and Montlake money on things like bike mounts and bars which are used for collegiate trips and small supplies like stamps occasionally but that's about it. Right now the people going to Nationals aren't getting any support from the club, although the club might reimburse some expenses afterwards if the club has enough to afford it. I think those going to Nationals should be supported as much as possible by the club, and not just because I'm going, but because that's where our club gets the most national attention and it is also the most expensive collegiate trip of the year. I think this view is shared by many other members of this team and from my experience, by other collegiate teams whose nationals members are typically better supported than ours. Let me know if any of you have differing opinions about Nationals, or how we spend our money in general. I've got to go now so I can get out on the bike and then to Oregon to race against the girly men from down south. > > I have to admit that I have no idea how much money the club has and what > it is spent on.
