Those familiar with Honey Bee network perhaps know that we have the world's largest data base on grassroots innovations with name and addresses of the innovators. We are obligeds to share every thing we learn first with the providers of innovations and knowledge in their language. In fact one reason why we have not agreed to collaborate with many international efforts in this regard is the unwilingness of many academics and international NGOs to comply with Honey Bee philosophy and ethical practices. We also believe in the protection of IPRs of local communities and individuals. We will be very happy to hear from those who are willing to collaborate in the existing multi-node multi-level global Knowledge Network on sustainable technological and institutional innovations. Pl visit our web site and see how SRISTI and GIAN are trying to scout, augmnet, spawn grasroots innovatios and develop a model of poverty alleviation based on the resource in which poor people are rich in that is their knowledge. Is not it an irony that most international experts use the trem resource poor farmers implying the contrary. After hearing from like minded colleagues, I will propose specific areas of collaboration. I will also like colleagues to post their ideas on setting up green venture promotion funds, incentive models for innovations, multi media data bases in various langauges as already developed by us so as to promote leaterla learning among local communities across various language communities.
