STUDENT LEADER MAGAZINE IS
LOOKING FOR A STUDENT INVOLVED IN
COMMUNITY SERVICE TO APPEAR
ON OUR NEXT MAGAZINE COVER

October 9, 1998

Student Leader magazine is looking for an outstanding student who is a
leader in community service and campus volunteerism, to feature on the
cover of the Winter 1998 issue of the national leadership magazine.

Campus leaders selected for previous covers have been picked for their
excellence in Greek life, campus journalism, minority affairs, residence
life, and other areas.

Eligible applicants should meet the following criteria:
*Must be a junior or senior. Graduate students who are full-time students
also are eligible.
*Have a 3.2 or above GPA
*Should currently play an active role in founding, organizing, or leading a
campus volunteer center or organization. Outstanding candidates should have
experience in coordinating and participating in volunteer activities on
campus and in the community.

Students, advisors, and staff members should encourage eligible, qualified
students to send the following by October 21 to:

E-mail or faxed submissions will not be considered complete without a clear
photograph.

Please include in your application packet:
*One-page letter of interest stating why the student is worthy of
representing volunteer coordinators or activists nationally
*One-to-two page resume
*Names and contact information of two references
*Recent color or black-and-white close-up snapshot of the applicant.
